Restoring your GPS device clears all settings to factory default and reformats the internal storage. This can be useful when dealing with memory corruption issues, or problems with your phone connection. It does not return to an earlier firmware version.
Plug your GPS device into your computer using your Lezyne micro USB cable. If you use another cable, it has to be a data micro USB cable, or it will only charge the device.
Go to lezyne.com. Hover over Support at the top of the screen, and select Update GPS Unit.
Scroll down, and select the appropriate updater for your computer operating system.
There are a number of ways your operating system and your browser might handle the download. Make sure that the updater file is downloaded and saved to your computer.
Open and run the Lezyne GPS firmware update program.
Since you will be reformatting the onboard memory, you will lose any ride data that has not been uploaded or backed up previously. Since performing this procedure is usually done to correct data corruption issues, you should not restore any of the folders to the GPS. Click Yes to be instructed on how to back up your data, No to continue.
Select Restore device to factory defaults.
On a Mac, the pull-down menu is next to the Apple icon in the upper right corner of your screen where it says Lezyne-Firmware-Programmer. | On Windows, this is located in the pull-down menu in the upper right hand corner where it says Lezyne Gps Firmware Programmer. | |
While the updater is reformatting the memory, do not unplug or attempt to operate the GPS unit. The restore should only take a few minutes to complete. |
When the installation is complete, you can click OK. This will close the updater. You can disconnect the GPS from your computer and get riding. |
