The Zecto Drive is one of our most versatile lights. It comes as either a front or a rear light, and can be attached to a number of different places on your bike - or clipped to your dog's collar for a night time walk!
We recently re-visited the design to increase lumen output and run time. With that, we changed the way the light indicates a charge. It no longer displays its charge level at all times, but only when you half depress the power button for a moment. This actually allowed us to increase run time by 30% - not an insignificant amount!
As a side note, on the Zecto and Strip Drive Rear, we are seeing some people confuse the green indicator with the color orange or yellow. This is because of the red lens that it's shining through. If you plug your Zecto in and it seems like an orange light comes on, everything is fine. The green is just being slightly distorted through the lens.
Another effect of the red lens on the Zecto is the red and orange indicator lights seem much brighter than the green and blue ones. Again, there's nothing wrong. As you drain the battery while using the light, the blue indicator will turn off. That will be followed by the green eventually turning off as well, and then the orange, until only the red remains.
