One of the best things about Lezyne floor pumps is that they are built to last - but that doesn't mean that some parts won't wear over time. When one of our floor pumps stops pushing air, nine times out of ten, you can solve the problem with a quick servicing of the pump.
- Remove the top cap of the pump. This is the best tool for that.
- Pull the piston rod and piston out of the barrel.
- More than likely, there will be a build-up of grease on the piston. Remove the piston O-ring and clean all the grease off the piston and piston O-ring.
- Re-install the O-ring and re-insert the piston.
Upon re-inserting the piston, you should find the pump immediately pushing air. If the pump isn't pushing air at this point, you can switch the loose O-ring on the piston rod with the piston O-ring. The loose O-ring acts as a bumper, but it is identical to the O-ring which creates the seal on the piston.
If all else fails, we do offer the HP O-ring Kit which can be ordered through you local bike shop or directly from our website.
