One of the great features of the Strip Drive, KTV Drive, Mini, Hecto, and Micro Drive lights is the lightweight USB stick that plugs directly into any USB port. An important thing to pay attention to with that USB stick, though, is that it doesn't have anything to prevent it from being plugged in upside-down. As a result, we do get a few calls about the light not charging, or not getting a proper run time. In both cases, it's usually result of the light not being plugged in correctly. Here are a couple photos to display how to plug the light in correctly.
One side of the stick has brass contacts...
...and one side doesn't.
There are corresponding brass contacts in the USB port. The two sets of terminals need to face each other. If the light is charging, it will have a green flashing light while plugged in (the green can look a little distorted through a red lens), or a solid red light on some KTV models. If you don't see a light, remove the light from the port, flip it 180 degrees, and re-insert it.
